Sinopse: Grande sucesso de crítica e de público, “E.R.” trata do cotidiano da emergência de um hospital público de Chicago, visto sob a ótica dos médicos e enfermeiros que trabalham ali.
Os conflitos profissionais e as histórias dos pacientes atendidos no pronto-socorro misturam-se aos dramas pessoais dos médicos na série que já está em sua 13ª temporada.
Nos anos 90, a série foi exibida na TV Globo com o nome de “Plantão Médico”.
É considerada a “mãe” das várias séries médicas no ar atualmente, como “House”, “Grey’s Anatomy” e “Scrubs”.
